Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the undisputed engine of employment and GDP growth in Cambodia. Yet, their potential is often constrained by a critical vulnerability: the lack of robust, professional financial management and accounting systems. This instability is not just a bookkeeping issue—the issue of internal control weakness where it’s a direct threat to long-term sustainability and growth.
This systemic challenge often stems from an affordability gap. While sophisticated financial management is essential, many SME owners, rooted in traditional business models, can only afford junior, inexperienced accounting staff. These entry-level employees, though sincere, often lack the autonomy and comprehensive competence required to implement and maintain compliant, efficient financial controls without intensive supervision.
Recognizing this profound need, CAC Center was established in 2012. Our founding principle is a commitment to bridging this crucial gap by cultivating the next generation of accounting leaders—professionals who possess the expertise and confidence to serve as indispensable accounting managers and trusted financial advisors to SME owners across the nation.
